Project based Learning
I really like the idea of project based learning. I think it is a good way to get the students engaged in lessons. I would be able to use it in my future classroom. I would use it by intergrating it into Indiana standards and teaching it as a big unit. I don't think it would be hard to intergrate project based learning into standards. I think all content areas could be covered in one project. I like how project based learning focuses on real world issues. It kids the students more involved and more active. I think real world issues motivates students because they feel that connected towards the project and they feel like they might be making a difference in the world. I was a big fan of the ePals. I liked how you could connect to classrooms around the world. Students would love this and it focuses on important issues, such as global warming. I learned a lot about project based learning through this module.

I agree that project based learning allows students to get involved in active learning. I believe that by being active in the lesson, students are more likely to retain more information. This is important when it comes test time! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with your post also. I think project based learning would be very worthwhile for students. They would be actively engaged while learning. I also learned a great deal about this type of learning through this module.
